Hello to all,

I am starting this go fund me on behalf of my husband Arthur Dreams, 29, better known as “Tudo” to friends and family to help with his journey living with liver cirrhosis.

A previous go fund me was created under “Dream on”, but my family no longer has access to the account.

As many of you know, Tudo was diagnosed with liver disease May, 2024 after experiencing symptoms such as fatigue, jaundice, decreased appetite and stomach pain.

A liver biopsy was completed September, 2024 to determine the extent of damage. During the procedure an artery was nicked, causing him to go into hemorrhagic shock requiring him to receive a life saving blood transfusion and thoracentesis.

Due to the complications of the liver disease Tudo has been experiencing “hydrothorax” this is caused by fluid build up in the lungs due to the liver damage, “Anemia” due to his liver no longer producing red blood cells, resulting in multiple blood transfusions every month; “Pitting edema” on half of his body causing the inability to walk and do simple things such as putting on clothing, moving positions in bed or socializing as he no longer has the energy to uphold a conversation for long periods of time and experiences pain frequently.

Tudo currently has lost muscle mass and has become very weak causing him to be bed bound the majority of the day. He is unable to play with his children as he wishes as he no longer has the stamina to do so.

Ultimately, he needs a new liver.

Our appointment with the liver team has been delayed since December 2024 due to criteria needing to be met in order to be referred.

Until then, Tudo continues seeing his providers, and keeping up with treatments.

As the provider for our family of 5, I have needed to take time off from work to care for my family and plan for future needs. Due to this I am concerned bills will pile faster than I am ready for and it is uncertain as of now, if I will continue to have employment.

I ask that you please help our family spread our story in hope that it reaches someone with a warm heart.

***UPDATE 05/24/25

Arthur has received a liver transplant is on the road to recovery. He continues to stay at OHSU until he is stable enough to go home. So far his labs have been returning more normal each time and his doctors are very impressed with his progress.

the following 3 months Arthur will be in need of 24/7 care.

Due to this I have stepped in to assist as a caregiver.

We couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity that has been given to Arthur. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the prayers and support given.

***Update as of 05/12/2025

Arthur has been admitted to OHSU since 05/04/2025.

The OHSU liver team have accepted him to be placed on the transplant list after extensive studies.

Due to Arthur’s condition, he will remain in the hospital until a new liver is available as his has failed and is no longer helping his body function properly. He is being kept stable with medication, blood products and necessary procedures.On 5/12 we were notified Tudo was officially LIVE on the transplant list. On 5/13 Tudo suffered another GI bleed and was placed on a ventilator. We currently await a donor liver.

Tudo is showing progress, despite this being a difficult time.
