Artha is a deeply loved wife, friend, and member of the recovery community. For over 25 years of sobriety, she has been a dedicated member of AA, sponsoring and supporting dozens of women along the way. She faces every challenge with strength, courage, and faith, choosing gratitude even in the hardest moments.

For more than 20 years, Artha has battled serious heart issues. In 2024, she underwent her second open-heart surgery, and since then has continued to face ongoing complications, including congestive heart failure, AFib, and chronic neuropathy in her legs and feet. She is scheduled for a heart ablation procedure on April 1st at Stanford Hospital.

Artha and her husband Scott live in Central Oregon, but her specialized care requires frequent trips to California. This upcoming visit will be their 23rd long-distance drive to Stanford. Because flying isn’t financially possible, they make the trip by car each time, covering the cost of gas, lodging, and time away from work. Scott is self-employed, so every trip also means lost income.

While Artha’s medical care has thankfully been covered by insurance, the ongoing travel and missed work continue to create a heavy financial strain.

Donations will go directly toward travel expenses and lost wages, helping ease this burden so Artha and Scott can focus on what matters most—her health and healing.
