Support Artemis Pack's Queer Sanctuary for Youth
Donation protected
Do you believe in our collective magic? At Artemis Pack, we sure do!
Artemis Pack is an afterschool and summer program that provides queer sanctuary space where magical youth ages 6-16ish learn to listen to their intuitions, fall in love with their changing bodies, and honor their creative powers. We currently serve over 50 families in the Philadelphia area and offer seven unique "packs" or small cohorts of about 8 kids each, who stay together over the years. This niche program provides such an essential community space not only for the kids who participate, but their families as well!
Last year, we received a generous donation that allowed us to offer scholarships to families who need it. From this fund, we were able to award over 40% of our participating families with whatever amount of scholarship they needed. This meant we were able to welcome all different types of families into Artemis Pack and maintain livable wages for our staff! This model has served our community well and we are so grateful to have received some donations already to help replenish the scholarship fund this year. We did not receive any of the microgrants we applied for, as many organizations are losing their federal funding and turning to smaller grants to make it work. We need more donations from generous people like you to fully fill our cup and have enough funds to meet the needs of our community!
Any amount you can offer helps, and is directly sponsoring a child's access to the unique, magical container we provide at Artemis Pack. Below are some sample amounts reflecting what you can offer our community:
$75 provides all the materials (herbs, spell books, potion bottles) for one child for one month of our school year program
$175 provides the cost of one month of participation in our program
$375 covers a quarter of the cost of the program for one child
$500 provides the average amount requested in scholarship from families in our community
$750 covers half of the cost of the program for one child
$1500 covers the entire cost of the program for one child
