TR’s Lost His Battle With Cancer Please Help is Family

Our love story has had its times of challenges and joy. We both come from modest backgrounds. This amazing man (my beautiful husband) was diagnosed at the end of 2022 with stage 4 prostate cancer which has metastasis in his bones. Those of you reading this who have known someone or have gone or are going through treatment will definitely relate to the journey I will unfold to you. T has gone through many CT, KAT, and PET scans from then to now. Plus has undergone hormone treatment which helped for about 9 months then stopped working because he didn’t have the ar gene which is needed for long time success rate. From there we went to chemo after #7 the chemotherapy treatment stopped working leaving him weaker and uncertain what was to be. His medical oncologist recommended Nuclear Medicine treatment which is a new therapy. Right before having his first nuclear medicine treatment T went to get into bed and his left arm bone broke, it didn’t take much pressure for it to break being there was multi cancerous tumors preying at it. So he had to undergo 7 hour-long surgery to remove the cancerous tumors on the bone and place a long metal rod and pins to hold the bone together. He then had his first nuclear medicine treatment…it went well. But sometime later his walking started to get harder and harder for him getting up from a chair or bed needed assistance. Doctors found a blood clot in his lung and then had to fight off pneumonia. He was in the hospital for one month and 2 weeks. Then sent to subacute rehabilitation to learn how to walk and stand again.

Just recently T was admitted back into the hospital for radiation gastritis, he was bleeding internally from his upper stomach area,this is caused from the build up of radiation in his system due from the radiation treatment. Which was being given to his arm as an additional precaution to hold back the cancer from coming back on his arm bone.

My husband has never asked for anything, no matter how difficult things have become. Writing this is hard because he was always the person helping others. I am asking for your prayers, encouragement, and support and if you feel you would like to do more it will certainly help with the mounting medical bills and expenses. In life, sometimes someone will need a helping hand up...

This man is the kindest, caring, selfless human being I have ever known or met. He thinks of others first,me included. Also placing his needs last. He truly would give you his last dollar. T is a wonderful musician that is why the title is “let the music play” for him!!!!

We now have learned that Ts cancer has spread to his GI track and his doctors informed both of us that treatment is no longer an option. His medical oncologist suggests hospice. Being his time is limited to a few week to months

I want and he wants to come home. I really need help in making this happen for him. While working on this T condition worsen and he was moved to palliative care unit in the hospital. There I was able to live with him 24/7 every day T fought staying true to his kindhearted self, but the cancer was relentless. He suffered greatly and all I could do is love and comforted him.

On Monday September 9th in the morning my beautiful man die in my arms. Words cannot express how my heart broke. Because I knew a great piece of me die with him. This vicious disease took away our joys and dreams that were ahead of us, but in my heart, he showed me the warrior that was inside of him to stand up and fight, to be brave, courageous, and loving to the end. And that I’m eternally grateful to him. I miss him every second of the day and night are the worst. Our love will continue until it’s my turn. I will keep that stored in my heart and my memories.
