Hi everyone,

My name is Sheila Lentz, Active Duty US Navy. I’m 34 years old, a proud Navy Chief with 16 years of service (and counting), wife to an amazing husband, and mom to two wonderful kids, ages 9 and 1. My family is my world, and I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart. I find myself in a position I never imagined desperately asking for help.

My older half-brother, Arnold, 36 years old, recently suffered a stroke and is currently in the ICU at Golden Hospital in Batangas, Philippines. A CT scan revealed multiple arteries bleeding in his brain, and he urgently needs surgery to save his life. Every day in the ICU, every medication, every treatment it all adds up, and after surgery, he will need ongoing medication and therapy to recover.

Arnold and I didn’t meet until I was 19, 15 years ago, but from the moment we met, there was no awkwardness just an instant bond. He never left my side, always looking out for me. He would wait outside the house I was staying in, making sure I got home safely every day. That’s just who he is selfless, protective, and always putting others first.

He worked construction in Manila for just $30 a day, and while his family was struggling back home, he slept on the construction floor at night just so he wouldn’t have to spend the money he was working so hard for. He has sacrificed so much for others, never thinking of himself. Unfortunately, that has taken a toll on his health, and now he is fighting for his life.

This isn’t easy for me to ask. I never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to reach out like this, but my brother’s life depends on it. If you can donate even just a little it would mean the world to us. If you’re unable to donate, please keep Arnold in your prayers.
