It has been a devastating year for Arnold and Rosario, a loving couple who have been married for 29 years.
In February, Rosario was diagnosed with a brain tumor (astrocytoma gliobastoma). She had surgery to remove the tumor in July, but received the terrible news that the tumor will grow back. Rosario's care will be ongoing with frequent medical visits in Redwood City, which is two hours from her home.
In June, Arnold was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma. This type of cancer is treatable, but not curable. He endured chemotherapy, but it did not help. He is now going through radiation. He too will require ongoing care.
Because Arnold and Rosario are both sick, they cannot care for one another. Their only child has left college at University of CA, Santa Cruz, to care for his parents. Arnold and Rosario are devastated that he had to put his future dreams on hold to come home and support them.
This family has been through so much this year. They continue to endure treatment, which takes up time and is challenging on their bodies. They have limited capacity to work, which causes great financial hardship.
Thank you so much for your care and concern. Arnold and Rosario are grateful and humbled by your support!
