It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I share the unexpected passing of Arnel Sumabat at 65. Arnel was a son, brother, uncle, fiance, and father. As his niece, I am devastated to share that Uncle Arnel passed away on Monday, May 19th. He went to the hospital on April 30th for abdominal pain, and subsequently suffered a life-ending stroke during his stay, making this tragic event especially unimaginable.

Arnel’s sudden and unexpected passing is a heartbreak and shock for everyone, given his relatively young age. Many have reached out asking how they can support his family during this difficult time. Beyond making sure that his children are wrapped in love and support, we’d like to raise money to ease their financial burden. His children would never ask, but as their cousin, it would mean the world to us if we could rally together to cover the cost of his funeral and memorial service, along with the unexpected expenses they’ve incurred during the prolonged stay in Seattle whilst taking care of their dad in his final days.

It is in times of sadness and loss when people can come together to help one another make it through. Any support you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Please keep Arnel’s family and children in your thoughts and prayers.
