Support Armen in his fight against Hodgkin's Lymphoma

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,

I am reaching out to you all today with a heavy heart, but also with hope and determination.

The 18-year-old son of our very close relative in Armenia, who I consider my nephew, is facing a dire situation. Three years ago, at the age of 15, Armen was diagnosed with Nodular Sclerosis Hodgkin's lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system. Armen fought bravely, undergoing various treatments (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation) that eventually put his cancer into remission. Six months later, they received the devastating news that his cancer was back. He had a tumor that was growing close to the heart, so they needed to get that under control, and he underwent another batch of chemo, radiation, and even plasma therapy. He went through 15 courses of radiation that finally ended in August 2023 and was in remission again.

Throughout this challenging journey, both Armen and his mom have shown remarkable resilience and bravery, enduring countless trials, sleepless nights, and painful procedures.

Armen was finally beginning to rebuild his life with his mom (who raised him all alone as a single mom). We even had the joy of spending this past summer with him in Armenia. His spirits were high, he looked great, and seemed to be feeling good. A week ago, we got the horrible news that Armen went in for his routine checkup and scans, and it was discovered that the cancer was back again and this time moving more aggressively.

The only treatments that are available for Armen’s condition in Armenia are experimental treatments. With the aggressiveness of this current bout, the only option is to get proven treatments outside of Armenia. Two options were given, one in Germany and one in Russia, and due to visa and time restraints along with the language barrier, the decision was made to go to Moscow. By the grace of God, Armen was accepted to and will receive treatment at the Blokhin Russian Cancer Research Center starting Fri, Sep 13th.

As expected, Armen's mother, Melanya, will have to leave her job and enter this next chapter of their lives in a foreign country all alone while Armen receives more advanced treatment to combat this aggressive disease once again. While still in debt and paying for the previous 2 times Armen was hospitalized, and now again the 3rd time they will need to go through this but at this time Melanya will not be working.

Armen is a fighter, and his spirits remain strong despite these overwhelming circumstances. But Armen and his mom cannot do this alone. We are asking for your support to help Armen get the life-saving treatment he needs. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to giving Armen the chance to overcome this disease and live the healthy life he deserves. Your support in any form—whether through donations, spreading the word, or offering words of encouragement—would mean the world to us. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in Armen's fight against this disease and in easing the financial worries that come along during this difficult time.

Thank you all for your kindness and generosity. May God give back to you and your families tenfold.
