Hello. My name is Andrea. I am starting a GoFundMe for my dad. His name is Arlyn Saagge and he was born and raised in Roseau County. Arlyn married Phyllis Finley and started producing some wonderful offspring. He worked some odd jobs and landed at Polaris where he put in over 40 years. He has enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, raking, and feeding the birds. Dad also spent time raising pigs and chickens.

For all the hours of work and care that he has put in, I’m hoping people will consider giving what they can to help out this beautiful man.

He needs some help at the moment because after a stint of the stomach flu, he had some gut pain that continued to worsen. After a CT scan in Roseau, the findings were shocking. Arlyn had what they called an apple core lesion in his upper colon that was almost completely blocking anything from going through. Off to Fargo to Essentia Health. The next two days were wild. A colonoscopy showed what needed to be removed, and on February 16th, Arlyn had to get a foot-long chunk of his colon cut out. Cancer is a terrifying word, and to Mom and us kids, it petrified us. Dad is trying to stay hopeful through it all, but it’s a tough road. Please give to help Dad with travel expenses and doctor bills. All is so much appreciated.
