Support Arlo's Fight Against Kidney Cancer

Hi, my name is Mallory Hanewich and I am raising money for my cousin Jon Nannenga and his family. Jon and Rachael recently found out that their son Arlo has kidney cancer. Arlo is a sweet 5 year old boy who enjoys playing with his 6 siblings and was very excited to start Kindergarten this coming fall. Unfortunately those plans are on hold at this time.

On June 4th Jon and Rachael took Arlo for a CT scan thinking there was a complication with his recent hernia surgery, but were shocked to find out he actually had a large tumor on his right kidney. By Monday June 10th they were at Riley's Children's Hospital in Indianapolis for more scans. It was confirmed that Arlo had a Wilms tumor that measured 10cmX10.5cmX20cm. A Wilms tumor is a rare cancer that mainly affects children. On June 12th Arlo had surgery to remove the tumor as well as his right kidney. He also had a port placed at that time. Arlo is recovering from his surgery and will begin chemotherapy very soon. They are awaiting the biopsy results but believe he will have a minimum 19 weeks of chemo.

Jon and Rachael will be driving back and forth from Kouts to Indy for these treatments.
