Hello everyone! My name is Veronica Aguirre. Even though I never imagined creating a GoFundMe, I felt that for this particular situation, it was absolutely appropriate. Some of you might know that I have been an ESL Adult Instructor for many, many years. If you are not sure what that is, I teach English as a Second Language to students whose first language is something other than English. I have come across so many beautiful souls throughout the years... many of whom have left footprints in my heart....but very recently, I had the privilege of having Arleth Miranda in my ESL Intermediate Low class, and almost instantly, there was a special connection between us. I'd go so far to say that in another life, our souls probably crossed paths or something because this was different. This GoFundMe is for her.

Arleth is courageously facing the biggest battle of her life. She has a VERY aggressive form of cancer which has already spread. She spends MANY hours at General Hospital receiving treatment daily. She is undergoing a trial at this time that will hopefully save many lives in the future. However, this trial is taking a serious toll on her and her overall well-being. For this reason, I see her as a true, selfless hero. Still, any moment she can, she is at school determined to learn all the English she is capable of learning. She does not give up. Sadly, Arleth lost both her father and sister to cancer a few years back, and because of this, she has endured treatment after treatment to spare her mom another huge loss.

Despite this horrible battle, I have never met a more optimistic, happy, funny, compassionate soul. She is caring, generous, and truly, a beautiful human.

She is unable to work and is now facing another obstacle. She has to pay for some medications that will help her continue with this fight. She has no idea how she will pay for these medications.

In such a helpless situation, I felt that I could at least set up this GoFundMe. It would mean the world to me if you could help me raise some funds for her. She has no idea I am doing this, and much less that I have shared these pictures!! She will probably kill me....hahaha. Which is fine if I can at least try to help her in some way.
