Arlene, our sweet mother, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma back in 2019. It’s a type of blood cancer that can damage the bones, immune system, kidneys, and red blood cell count. She went into remission for a short time but recently relapsed. A few weeks ago, she suffered a fall at work that not only broke her arm but also fractured her C-2 vertebrae. Unfortunately, her scans also showed that the cancer had come back with a vengeance, showing that it had progressed down her spine and inside her skull. Mom’s surgery to repair her arm and her spinal surgery went well. The next step will be rehabilitation from surgery and chemotherapy to attack the Myeloma.

The people that know my family know that health issues have not been new to us. Our Dad has also struggled with many health issues throughout the years. It’s not been easy, but they both have always had a positive and spiritual outlook on every hospital stay, emergency car ride, and surgery they have had to endure.

With this in mind, we wanted to set up an account in efforts to offset the incoming medical bills and to relieve a small portion of their financial stress as she battles the cancer. We love and appreciate everything offered on her behalf, including prayers for healing and peace during this trial.
