On Thursday, October 30th, our mom, Arlene, was rushed to the ER with severe abdominal pain. After several tests, doctors discovered a uterine mass that required immediate attention.

On November 4th, she underwent surgery for a hysterectomy. During the procedure, the surgeons found malignant nodules, and while they were 98% certain it was lymphatic cancer, we had to wait for the final pathology to know more.

Two weeks later, we received the heartbreaking news: our mom has been diagnosed with a high-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma. This rare and aggressive form of cancer begins in neuroendocrine cells and progresses very rapidly. Because of its complexity, we are still awaiting additional final pathology details, but what we do know is that her treatment must be both intensive and immediate—including chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Typically, chemo would begin only after the body has had time to heal from major surgery. However, due to the aggressive nature of this cancer, doctors had to start her first treatment right away.

We are creating this GoFundMe to help ease the tremendous burden of medical and personal expenses during this difficult time. Our mom is fighting with everything she has, and any support—whether financial, emotional, or through sharing this page—means the world to us.
