Hi my name is Arleen. I was not born with epilepsy but was diagnosed with it as a result of being hit by a truck while pregnant as an adult in 2016. Since then life became extremely difficult. We invested all our savings into a home we were told was for us to inherit and invest into, but a relative sold it. We were never compensated for any of the money we put into it. We bought a trailer to live in out of desperation but it didn’t work out not only was it hard with all the kids but the state of New Jersey does not consider it a permanent residence. So little did I know that was our first step to being homeless. We are trying to raise funds for a home. Trying to get me and my family out of this motel. I have exhausted all resources with the state. I turn to private fundraising in hopes to get my children into a stable home.We have been living here for about a year.
