Hi, I’m Arjun, and I’m part of the Youth Leadership Council with Climate Roots, a youth-led organization focused on climate action, sustainability, and community empowerment. We want to show that young people can take action on climate change and hunger, not just by raising awareness but by growing real food that helps real people. This summer, I’m starting a new project called Youth Roots, and will be looking out for your help to make this happen.
What is Youth Roots?
Youth Roots is a hands-on, student-led project where we grow fresh fruits and vegetables entirely in raised garden beds. All of the food we grow will be donated to local food banks such as the Tri City Volunteers based in Fremont, helping fight food insecurity in our community with fresh, healthy produce grown by us.
