Hi, I’m Ariyana Bethea, a 20-year-old first-generation college student double majoring in Respiratory Therapy and Health Information Management at Tennessee State University.
I was born with a clubfoot, which meant my early years were filled with braces, surgeries, and doctor visits. But instead of discouraging me, it inspired me. Growing up as a patient made me want to become someone who helps others through the same kind of challenges. That’s why I chose a career in healthcare—because I know firsthand how much it matters.
Right now, I have a $1500 summer tuition balance that’s blocking me from enrolling in the classes I need to stay on track and keep my financial aid. Because of a hold on my account, I can’t add another course myself, and I’m doing everything I can to fix it—but I need a little help.
As a first-generation college student, this journey hasn’t been easy, but it means the world to me. Every donation, every share, every kind word helps me keep going—not just for me, but for the patients I want to serve one day.
If you believe in supporting future healthcare workers and students chasing their dreams against the odds, I’d be so grateful for your support.
With love and gratitude,
Ariyana Bethea
