Supporting Ari’s Road to Recovery

Our hearts are heavy as we share that our beloved Ari recently suffered multiple strokes caused by an undiagnosed hole in her heart. What began as a sudden illness quickly became a life changing medical emergency. She has been in the hospital the past few days & we are unsure when she will get to go home.

Although she is now responsive, this started as a few scary days of in & out of consciousness and lots of tests. Doctors are still determining the best course of treatment, and she may require long term inpatient care, rehabilitation, and ongoing medical support. At this time, we are unsure what the future holds, but we know it will be a long and uphill road.

Ari is a devoted mother to her daughter and her son. Her son is nonverbal autistic and requires round the clock care, and Ari has always been his biggest advocate and source of strength. Her family is facing significant emotional and financial challenges.

As medical bills, therapy, and living expenses continue to grow, our family is asking for help. She will be unable to work for the foreseeable future & will need someone with her at all times.

Ari wears many hats in her life that she hopefully will be able to get back to when she is healthy again:

She is a talented artist with thousands of supporters who have followed and encouraged her creative journey over the years. That love and support means more than ever right now.

She also works with special needs students at her job & enjoys helping kids find their voice & grow through kindness & understanding.

On top of all that she is a beloved Kissy’s Pet crew member, who helps out with the care of the dogs. They all know and love to see her when she is with them.
