Because the water came from the foundation it is considered ground water and is not covered unless we had special flood insurance. With the funds we receive approximately 8,000 will be used for renovations from Thrasher to waterproof and dehumidifiers. the remaining funds will be for drywall repairs and flooring.

Hi my name is Ari, I am a special education teacher here in Fremont and I currently have a son on the spectrum. In March 2025 we had a severe storm that hit us hard with snow and cut the power for days. For the safety of my son, I left the area to space with heat. However I was not prepared to come back days later to severe damage. A tree branch fell breaking our downspout and causing water and snow to pool to the foundation. This in turn flooded the basement and without heat or airflow mold started to grow quickly. I alone removed all the carpet and damaged walls. Now though, working full time with a kid with high needs, I need help. I am trying to raise funds for experts to come help with finishing clean up and repairing the foundation. I am hoping to get some of it done before major winter storms hit. I waited to ask for support because I know our community needs so much more than I do, I just ask you share my story and donate if you can. I
