In January 2022, Ariobin “Ari” Ortiz was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer. From the very beginning, Ari has faced this journey with extraordinary courage, positivity, and a fighting spirit that has inspired everyone around him.
Ari is a devoted husband to his incredibly loving and selfless wife, Bernadette, and a proud father to two beautiful daughters - Lila (11) and Olivia (7). Together, they have navigated this unimaginable road with grace, faith, and strength.
Until now, the Ortiz family has never asked for anything beyond prayers, love, and support. As Ari transitions to hospice care at home, his needs have increased, and the family is now facing the significant cost of securing a full-time nurse to provide around-the-clock care. This support will ensure Ari remains comfortable, safe, and surrounded by love in his home, while also giving Bernadette the ability to be present as a wife and mother during this deeply emotional time.
All funds raised will go toward:
- A full-time in-home hospice nurse for Ari
- Comfort care and medical support during hospice
- Any additional or remaining funds will go directly to Bernadette to help support Lila and Olivia, assisting with everyday expenses, childcare needs, and ensuring stability and care for the girls during this incredibly difficult transition
