My name is Maya, my best friend/son/emotional support/soul dog is named Arie. Arie is one and a half years old, an absolute ball of energy, and the sweetest boy you will ever meet.

Unfortunately, somehow he ate something that wound up causing an intestinal blockage. He has not been able to keep down any food or water in over 4 days.

Today I found out that he needs an emergency surgery to fix the obstruction. The surgery is about $4,000 from a vet hospital in Long Island. I’m not used to asking for help like this, but life without Arie isn’t a life I want to live.
