On December 30th, my husband Ariel was involved in a motorcycle accident on his way to work when his bike slipped on a cold, wet road. He was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered severe fractures to his left ankle and tibia.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery same day and had an external fixator placed to stabilize his leg. Now, he faces a second major reconstructive surgery to realign the bones and place internal plates and screws.

Ariel will be unable to work for several months as he recovers. The road ahead is filled with challenges, including extensive healing, months of physical therapy, mounting medical expenses, and the day-to-day costs of living while he is out of work.

We are incredibly grateful that Ariel's injuries were not life-threatening, and we are trusting God through this recovery. No dia 30 de dezembro, meu marido Ariel sofreu um acidente de moto a caminho do trabalho, quando a moto derrapou em uma pista fria e molhada. Ele foi arremessado da motocicleta e sofreu fraturas graves no tornozelo esquerdo e na tíbia.

Ele foi levado para o hospital, onde passou por uma cirurgia de emergência no mesmo dia e precisou colocar um fixador externo para estabilizar a perna. Agora, ele enfrenta uma segunda cirurgia grande e reconstrutiva para realinhar os ossos e colocar placas e parafusos internos.

Ariel ficará impossibilitado de trabalhar por vários meses durante sua recuperação. O caminho à frente será desafiador, com um longo processo de cicatrização, meses de fisioterapia, despesas médicas crescentes e os custos do dia a dia enquanto ele estiver afastado do trabalho.
