Meet Ariel a brave, beautiful little girl with the brightest smile and the kindest heart.

Ariel was born with a rare genetic condition called Ring Chromosome 18, which affects her development, muscle tone, and ability to communicate. She also battles juvenile arthritis, making simple things like walking—painful and frustrating at times.

Ariel receives occupational, speech, and physical therapy through school. She now desperately needs private physical therapy in addition to her current therapies to help correct her walking pattern. When she first learned to walk, she did it the best way she could to avoid pain—but now she needs help retraining her body to help prevent falls.

We’ve tried Medicaid, CAP/C, and other programs, but all were denied. Ariel has private insurance, but our $7,000 yearly deductible makes it nearly impossible to keep up with her medical expenses.

We’ve had to limit her care to her most critical specialists—her rheumatologist and endocrinologist—just to manage costs. Still, the bills keep piling up.
