Support Ariel's Health Recovery Journey
Donation protected
Hi friends, community members, and kind strangers,
My name is Courtney, and I'm setting up this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend Ariel. Ariel recently faced a health crisis, landing in the emergency room with severe dehydration and pain. Fortunately, Ariel is now on the road to recovery, with medication and much-needed fluids, but the costs of ER visits, medications, and follow-up appointments are piling up because she is currently uninsured.
The financial burden is overwhelming, especially after not being able to work for the past month. Prior to this, Ariel had already been facing significant health challenges. She has been struggling with multiple herniated discs and spinal stenosis. Despite actively seeking treatment from the Clinic, Ariel has faced difficulties in accessing care, being taken seriously, and finding a specialist. Surgery may be a necessary option in the future, adding to the existing financial and emotional strain. Ariel deserves to live pain-free, and we are committed to supporting her on that journey.
Ariel is a resilient and passionate community advocate, dedicated to social work and rural community-building. She is beginning the MSW program at UW this year. As a volunteer with Laramie PrideFest, she has made meaningful contributions to events and social justice initiatives, always striving to create safe, inclusive spaces. Her dedication to the 2SLGBTQ+ community and her commitment to fostering social connection reflect her compassionate nature and her drive to make a difference.
We believe that burdens become lighter when shared. Mutual aid is a powerful tool—it's about people coming together to care for each other in times of crisis. As Kropotkin wrote, 'Mutual aid is as much a law of animal life as mutual struggle.' When one of us is in need, the collective support of the community can make a world of difference.
Please know that there is no pressure to give beyond your means. Every donation, no matter the size, is a meaningful contribution. Whether you can support financially or by sharing this fundraiser with others, it all helps.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting Ariel.
With gratitude,
Courtney
