Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I never imagined I’d be in this position, but today, I’m reaching out for help. My name is Carl Nusbaum, and I am a single father to my two amazing children, Ariel and Jordan. They are my world, my reason for fighting, and the greatest joy in my life.

Recently, I received the devastating news that I have Stage 4 colon cancer. As you can imagine, this diagnosis has turned our lives upside down. The treatments, doctor visits, and medications are overwhelming not just physically and emotionally, but financially as well. Between mounting medical bills and the inability to work full-time, I am struggling to keep up with basic necessities like rent, utilities, and groceries.

I have always prided myself on being a provider for my children, but right now, I need help. My biggest fear isn’t just this disease—it’s the thought of not being able to create a stable, secure home for my kids while I fight it.
