Hello, my name is Ariel Huerta and I am the owner of The Baker’s Box Cafe. We are a licensed and permitted cottage food operation located in Dinuba, Ca. We have been baking for our community and surrounding communities since 2014. Unfortunately, our house caught fire on Monday, August 11th—thank God my family and I are safe. Although, we are currently working with our insurance company to clean out and rebuild our home, we devastatingly lost all of our stocked up ingredients, packaging, baking materials and tools. If you know me, you know I rarely take time off—baking is my life’s passion and I’m so lucky that I get to do it as my job. It’s also not like me to ask for help—whether in the kitchen or financially—I would prefer to be the one helping and/or giving. However, after realizing how long it will take to get back in our home I need to find another solution and would prefer to get on my feet and back to baking for you all as soon as possible. I’m hoping to raise funds to replace my damaged and unusable items. I appreciate any financial help you can give. My family and I also ask for continued prayers as we navigate this hardship.
