Support Ariel Couvertier's Triple Bypass Surgery

Hello friends,

One of our fellow friends is in need of our support. My name is Dana, a very close friend of Ariel Couvertier. If you know Ariel Couvertier like I do then you can’t help but love him. Ariel is a Friend , Husband, and a wonderful Dad to his two boys. He’s a hardworking guy who has been dealt a not so fun diagnosis. please help if you are able. Below is his story written by his loving wife Michelle.

Ariel’s journey started when he got covid in July of 2022. After having COVID and not getting better in October of 2022 his doctor referred him to the COVID Triage at the hospital. He then began seeing a pulmonologist, neurologist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, a cognitive speech therapist and an autoimmune specialist. The autoimmune specialist diagnosed him with Orthostatic Intolerance. He continued with the recommended therapies, monthly visits, and a variety of tests to pinpoint the root cause of his continued health difficulties. After 2 years of tests, therapies and doctor visits he began seeing a cardiologist at the heart failure clinic at the hospital. His new cardiologist began completing imaging and tests. Through the imaging and tests Ariel found out he has a genetic heart defect called hypotrophic cardiomyopathy. Fast forward to August 2024, Ariel found out that he needed to go for more heart testing due to his symptoms of light headedness, dizziness, and shortness of breath when exerting himself are still causing difficulties. After having a angiogram on both sides of his heart the cardiologist found 3 of his 4 arteries are blocked and he will need triple bypass surgery. Due to all of his health difficulties and depression Ariel has not worked since July of 2022.
