Support Ariel After Phoebe's Sudden Loss
Donation protected
On February 10th, 2025, sweet Phoebe (2), was admitted to emerald City veterinary in Seattle, WA. She had been failing to eat for a couple of days, and upon returning home from work, her mom, Ariel, noticed her breathing was strained and labored.
Upon being rushed to the center in the middle of the night, she underwent countless tests, bloodwork and was placed in an oxygen chamber in an attempt to improve her health and get to the bottom of things.
Late in the evening/early morning of February 10th and 11th, it was determined that Phoebe had congenital heart failure, with an enlarged heart. This is uncommon in cats so young, but is not impossible.
Congenital heart failure is a condition in cats where the heart muscle is structurally abnormal from birth, leading to impaired heart function.
On February 11th, 2025, it was determined that Phoebes condition was not improving despite treatment options and best efforts, and late in the morning, Phoebe passed away with her mom by her side.
Current veterinary costs are sitting at around $4000 with additional costs expected for cremation, downtime and rest.
Ariel is the most selfless, there for you person I know. If there’s anyone I know who should not have had to go through this, especially so soon, it’s her. She loves her two kitties as if they are her kids.
Ariel works within the service industry in Seattle, and is a joy to everyone who meets her. This very sudden, tragic event provides undeserved financial strain in a time where she deserves to rest and grieve.
Let’s make sure she gets some much needed rest, without having to worry about the extreme costs of diagnosis and sudden end of life care.
Anything you can provide would be so helpful.
Thank you
