I never imagined we’d be starting 2026 like this, but God had other plans for our family.
On Monday, December 29th, my brother Aric began experiencing severe dizziness. He couldn’t eat, couldn’t drink, and couldn’t get out of bed. Anyone who knows Aric knows he is a hardworking, devoted husband and an incredible dad who always puts his family first—often at the expense of his own health.
By Friday, January 2nd, still unable to function due to worsening symptoms, Aric asked our dad to take him to the emergency room. After hours in the ER, he was diagnosed with vertigo and given medication. Thankfully, they decided to proceed with an MRI.
Later that night, the MRI revealed devastating news: Aric had suffered a stroke and had unknowingly been living with the aftereffects all week—pushing through the pain to care for his baby girl and continue working, as his wife Bobbi is in the final weeks of pregnancy with their second child.
As if that weren’t enough, during preparation for additional scans, Aric experienced a life-threatening medical emergency. Doctors and nurses rushed in and performed CPR. Aric was resuscitated and stabilized.
Aric is currently awake and stable, but he has a long road ahead. Specialists are still working to determine what caused a stroke in a healthy 33-year-old.
Since being admitted, doctors have shared that Aric may require a stent and possible surgery. While many details are still being evaluated, it’s clear that his medical journey is far from over and will require continued hospitalization, procedures, and recovery time.
We are asking for prayers for Aric, his wife Bobbi, their children, and our entire family during this incredibly overwhelming time.
Aric would never ask for help himself, but we are asking on his behalf. As a barber, Aric is self-employed and has no paid leave or backup income. With mounting medical bills, household expenses, and a newborn arriving in just a few weeks, the financial burden is quickly becoming overwhelming.
If you are able, please consider donating to help support Aric and his family while he focuses on healing. Any amount, prayer, or share is deeply appreciated.
Out of respect for Aric and Bobbi’s privacy and their need to focus on healing and the upcoming birth of their baby, we kindly ask that family and friends please refrain from contacting them directly at this time. We will share updates as appropriate.
