Support Aria’s Fight Against A Rare Form Of Epilepsy

Donation protected
Hello, I am setting up this GoFundMe to benefit my niece, Aria King. On July 9, 2025, Aria suddenly became very ill at work and started taking seizures. She was rushed to the hospital. Prior to this, Aria was a vibrant 21 year-old who loved life. For the first 14 days of Aria’s hospitalization the doctors did not have a diagnosis for her condition. Aria was in a medically induced coma. Each time the doctors tried to bring her out of sedation, Aria would spike seizures, and the doctors would have to increase the sedation.

After many tests and scans, the doctors diagnosed her with a condition called NORES FIRES Epilepsy, a rare and severe form of epilepsy that often affects previously healthy individuals. This type of epilepsy is resistant to most seizure drugs. However, this diagnosis gives the doctors direction in Aria’s treatment and care plan. Her care team continues to perform tests and scans to try to find a solution that will help Aria.

Currently, Aria is still in a medically induced coma to allow her brain to rest. The doctors said her case is difficult and she is very sick. Her recovery and rehabilitation will be a long process. With this unexpected hospitalization, Aria’s bills continue to accumulate. Recently, Aria purchased her first home. She was excited about this purchase and about being independent. But, Aria was working two jobs to pay her mortgage and her bills. Aria’s main job offers her disability which will pay a portion of her salary, but not enough to cover her finances, ongoing treatments, and medical bills.

With Aria unable to advocate for her medical needs, Aria’s mother has become her voice. She is at the hospital daily consulting with doctors and making decisions about Aria’s care. She will have to take an unpaid leave of absence from her job to be there for her daughter. Unfortunately, this puts them both in jeopardy of losing their health insurance and her mother will also lose her income.

If you know Aria, you know that she is young and vivacious. In everything she does, she loves and embraces life. Her smile is as bright as the sunshine and her laugh makes your heart light-up. She is the kindest, most giving person and would do anything to help anyone.

I am asking that you help Aria and her mother with their current financial burdens during this time of need. Here’s how you can help:

If you are able, please contribute financially to this Go Fund Me and share this post.

If you are not in the position to contribute financially, please share this post so it reaches as many people as possible.

Please continue to pray for Aria’s recovery, Aria’s family, and the medical staff treating her.
