Support Aria's Dream Experience
Donation protected
Hi! Thank you for visiting our GoFundMe! In summery, we are a small family of Swifties who recently worked very hard to get our 9-year-old Aria to Vienna to see Taylor Swift. When the concert we had prepared tirelessly for was canceled due to a threat of terrorism, Aria was heartbroken. However, she handled this heartbreak with strength, understanding, and bravery.
We are fundraising to help Aria see Taylor Swift at another concert. The expenses to see her in the States or Canada are triple the cost of seeing her in Europe. Aria has shown incredible resilience, and we want to give her the experience she deserves. Any support you can provide would mean the world to us. Thank you!
More detailed story...
When we arrived at our hotel in Austria this summer to see Taylor Swift with Aria(her 9th bday present and dream fufilled) we soon discovered that because of a planned attack on the stadium all shows were canceled. We spent two months counting down the days, Jen worked every extra shift she could, I sold all of my old 80’s toys and tech and Aria worked on creating her own costume gem by gem for 2.5 months!!
Although devastated, scared and confused she handled the cancellation with grace, love and the maturity of a much older and wiser human. We have exhausted all options on being able to purchase tickets in the US or Canada. Some swifties who fell in love with Aria’s spirit in Vienna suggested we put the word out to all who love Aria and have been touched by her in any way.
You can donate, purchase some of her merch from her etsy site or just pass this on to anyone anywhere who might have a connection for any of her shows!! Aria said that “she knows it’s not possible to go to this concert and she doesn’t want us to feel badly about it” but we don’t want to give up yet.
This is all Aria wants for her 10th bday this year and Chanukah/Christmas! Thanks in advance and if you are not feeling this post just keep on scrolling by:) We are all well aware that there is major turmoil in the world and working this hard to get to a Taylor Swift concert may seem utterly ridiculous and even offensive to some. For one little girl who wakes up each morning ready to choose kindness this is far from trivial. Taylor’s lyrics helped her learn to read when she was diagnosed with dyslexia and it felt impossible. She spent hours, days, weeks-staring at the lyrics, searching for the patterns in the words, phrases and memorizing until she began recognizing the same words in her books in school.
In the streets of Vienna we watched her dance and sing nonstop for hours in the center of it all. With tears in her eyes she said, “this is so amazing. I would still have wanted to come just to experience all of this love. I believe in miracles now.”
