On Thursday 2/19, my sister & brother in laws small bakery business Aria’s Sweet Treats was broken into causing thousands of dollars in damage. The bakery remains closed until repairs can be made to reopen.

We are devastated to share that our bakery was burglarized late last night.

Our family pours our hearts and souls into this bakery every single day. We work long hours to provide tor our community and our future, only to have someone shatter our windows and ransack our second home.

The most upsetting part? All of this damage and chaos was caused for a few dollar bills taken from under the register— money that belonged to Aria's college tip jar.

The Reality of the Aftermath:

The Damage: Broken windows, destroyed displays, and a ransacked interior.

The Cost: We are looking at thousands of dollars in repairs just to get our doors back open.

The Question: Why? Why do people do this to small businesses that are just trying to make an honest living?

We are exhausted, we are angry, and we are hurt. To whoever did this: we hope those few dollars were worth the thousands in damage and the emotional toll you've put on our family.

To our amazing customers: We might be a little slower or look a little different over the next few days as we clean up the glass and pick up the pieces, but we aren't going anywhere.
