My wife Ariana and I just welcomed our baby into the world, but it happened much sooner than we expected. Ariana developed high blood pressure and preeclampsia, and things got serious very quickly. She had to be flown by helicopter from Gunnison to Grand Junction, where doctors decided to induce her. Our baby was born 8 weeks early and will need to stay in the NICU for the next two months. We can do nothing but pray right now .

We've been away from home for over a month already, staying in a hospital house and doing everything we can to support our newborn. During this time, I lost my job, and Ariana can't work while caring for our baby and her two other children. We're facing a lot of uncertainty, but we're doing our best to stay strong for our family.
