Hello, my name is Lucia and I am originally from Arequipa, Peru, currently living in Maryland. In recent days, severe rainfall has caused rivers and torrential channels to overflow, triggering destructive mudslides and flooding across multiple districts in my hometown. According to preliminary official reports, over 4,200 people have been affected, at least 89 families have been left completely devastated, and more than 1,200 homes have been damaged, with dozens now uninhabitable. Many families have lost everything—beds, clothing, appliances, and essential belongings. Some are now staying in temporary shelters, while others are trying to clean and rebuild with very limited resources.

I am creating this fundraiser to provide direct support to families in need, especially those who have lost their homes and essential belongings. Donations will go toward emergency supplies like clean water, food, hygiene products, and diapers, as well as cleanup and recovery tools, temporary shelter, and essential replacements such as mattresses, blankets, clothing, and basic household items.
