Hello,

My name is Ally & I am asking for help for my baby sibling Archer (ze/zim or he/him), I have previously been trying to assist him financially, but my financial and living situation has drastically changed and I am no longer able to do so. It has been an incredibly rough few years for him due to a combination of an impossible and toxic living situation, severe trauma, significant mental health struggles, and worsening crippling physical disability and pain. Every time one of these gets worse, the others all follow, which has led to a spiral downward where he is struggling to care for himself and his cat. This deteriorating mental and physical health has become a significant concern.

While getting on SSI disability is the goal, there is a significant amount of boundaries placed that he has to cross in order to be able to pursue it to the degree it needs to be pursued, especially since this administration has made it harder for individuals to receive. In the meantime, he makes a small amount of money voice acting, which happens to be one of the few things that currently brings him joy, however his sound proof booth has become toxic due to blankets coated in formaldehyde which gets trapped in a small no airflow space with when he records. This has contributed to his physical health worsening. The lack of money has also led to him not having as much access to things like clothing and other basic needs, as well as a need for a new computer for voice acting, as his is having constant problems. The lack of money has also prevented him from accessing other housing options which would come with more resources and mental health improvement, as the resource centers in California can assist, but only on an emergency basis or if they have an income. While emergency housing is an option that has been considered, it would force them to lose his ability to voice act and keep his cat the only two things keeping his will to live alive.

Some of the symptoms and conditions he is experiencing that are making things harder for him include: Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, POTS, Autism, CPTSD, Severe mental health problems, Random moderately severe allergy attacks likely due to MCAS, poor dexterity, growth of a ganglion cyst on his wrist, severe muscle cramps, severe fatigue, seizures, severe episodes that result in extreme pain, fatigue, muscle weakness, lack of coordination, inability to stand or move, headache, dystonia, and dizziness that leave him screaming and crying in a ball on the floor unable to move or talk for anywhere from 5-30 minutes.

Our goal with this fundraiser is to help him get some of the medical care he needs, and give him physical help to help him be more self-sufficient and improve his mental and physical health so he can work towards getting SSI and more fitting housing situation and money in the meantime.
