Archer is an 18-month-old Saint Bernard with the gentlest soul and the toughest fight ahead of him. This sweet boy was born with only one functional kidney, and now that kidney is struggling to keep him alive.
Archer's calcium levels have dropped to dangerously low levels, putting him at serious risk of death. He needs immediate IV fluid therapy for 3-5 consecutive days to balance his calcium and phosphate levels and give his remaining kidney the support it desperately needs.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization, we've already invested everything we have into giving Archer a chance at life. But the cost of this emergency treatment is beyond our current resources, and time is running out.
What Archer Needs:
- 3-5 days of hospitalization with IV fluid therapy
- Monitoring, bloodwork and medication to stabilize his calcium and phosphate levels
- Follow-up care to support his kidney function
The Cost:
We estimate Archer's emergency treatment and remaining expenses will cost approximately $2500. Every dollar brings us closer to saving this deserving boy.
Archer didn't choose to be born with one kidney. He didn't ask for this struggle. But he's fighting hard, and he deserves every chance to live the happy, loved life that every dog should have. He was seized by animal control from an unethical breeder so he already had a rough start on life. We’d like to give him a brighter future.
