Support Archana's Battle Against Metastatic Cancer

I am raising funds for my sister Archana Pawar Karfa, who is a metastatic breast cancer patient.

She has been fighting cancer for the past 4 years.

ENHERTU cost is approximately $7230/- for a dose based on her body weight. She needs to take this drug every 3 weeks till it becomes ineffective.

The total cost for ENHERTU for a yearlong dosage would be approximately $125000/-.

This is her story:

My sister was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in May 2020. At the time of diagnosis her cancer had spread to her breast and bones.

In January ’21, her disease progressed and spread to brain. She underwent radiation and received 70 cycles of TDM1/ Kadcyla (targeted chemotherapy). She underwent mastectomy in June 2023.

The disease was under control for 2 years. However, in Dec 2023, PET scan revealed further progression to her lungs. Her oncologist switched her to an aggressive chemotherapy treatment (Paclitaxel, Trastuzumab and carboplatin) starting Jan ‘24. Paclitaxel caused severe neuropathy, and her oncologist stopped this treatment in March ‘24.

After a chemo break of two months because of neurotoxicity, her oncologist has now prescribed ENHERTU to control the disease, as her cancer has spread further in her lungs since June ’24.

As mentioned earlier, cost of ENHERTU is approximately $7230/- for a dose. She needs to take this drug every 3 weeks till it becomes ineffective. So, the annual cost for ENHERTU for a yearlong dosage would be approximately $125000/-.
