Support April (McMillan) Dick's Medical Expenses

Donation protected

9/16 Update- April started chemo August 15, 2024, and she currently receives treatments every two weeks. After each chemo treatment at Carle Hospital, she goes home with a slow release infusion pump that contains a different type of chemo. She wears that for two days, and once the pump finishes administering the treatment, she goes back to the hospital to have it removed. After 3 months of this process, they plan to do a PET scan to check for any cancer still present in her body. Afterwards, she will continue this process for another 3 months. During all this back and forth, April's vehicle has unfortunately broken down, and it isn't currently driveable. She is relying on others to get her to any place she needs to go. If you feel led in your heart to donate, I know she would greatly appreciate it! Thank you so much to everyone's incredibly kind and generous prayers, love, help and donations. We are so grateful for all of you!

6/11 Update- The results from the tests on April's lymph nodes came back positive for an aggressive form of Colon Cancer that is in Stage 3. She will begin chemo at Barnes as soon as possible. Her treatments will be every other week. They want her to heal a little more from her surgery before they begin. They will be doing a PET scan after the inflammation from her surgery goes down, to check for any issues in other areas of her body. She has started on a liquid diet and has has some ice cream, Italian ice, etc. She may get to go home today or tomorrow, but will be making frequent trips back and forth to STL for treatment. Please continue to pray for her pain and healing.❤️

6/5 Update- I just spoke with April on the phone and she sounds so much better! She is still at Barnes in St. Louis. She has been up walking around a bit and her pain level has decreased. Please continue praying for her healing and comfort! There are "April's Angels" t-shirts available for sale. Please contact Jessie Price Yoder to order. There's also "April's Angels" awareness bracelets for sale. Please contact Jaime Chavez to order! Thank you for all the prayers, love and donations!

6/1 update- April was in a significant amount of pain today. Please continue to pray for complete healing and comfort.

5/31 (730pm CT)- Update: April is out of surgery and they were able to safely remove the entire tumor! Thank you all for the prayers and please keep them coming!❤️

5/31 (am)- UPDATE

April is still currently at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. She has had many tests done in the last few days. The doctors have confirmed that she has colon cancer. We are unsure at this point what stage it is. She has a large mass in her colon. They are going to try to remove the mass in its entirety, but she may need some chemo as well. They are putting a stent in her kidney because it is swollen, due to the pressure. She also has a nodule on her thyroid that they have done tests on, along with some other swollen lymph nodes. She is still in good spirits and appreciates everyones love, thoughts and prayers. Please continue to pray for her and love on her, even from afar!❤️ April and her family appreciate you all!

5/26- Update: April is at Barnes in St. Louis. She arrived late last night. Thank you so much to everyone sending donations. They are greatly appreciated!❤️

5/25- Hi everyone, my name is Stacie, and April is my big sister. She is currently at Carle hospital in Champaign, IL and will soon be transferred to Barnes hospital in St. Louis, MO. Out of respect for April's privacy at this time, I am not sharing any details on her current condition, but I hope to update this platform as circumstances allow. My family and I are hoping to raise some money to help with her medical expenses. Please pray for her and donate if you are able. Thank you all so much in advance!❤️ Please share!
