My name is April Burkhalter. On June 8th, 2025, around 11:15 pm, Abilene, TX had a bad storm with a lot of lightning. My house caught on fire in my attic; thank God for my neighbor down the road who let us know. The house is a total loss. This was my grandmother's and my dad's house. My dad passed away in Nov of 2022, and I inherited the house and was living in the house with my husband, Randy Claspill, and my mother. We were all able to get out safe.
