This GoFundMe has been created for April’s three beautiful daughters: Samantha (30), Sheianne (26), and Olivia (9) to help them through the unimaginable loss of their mom, April.
April passed suddenly from a brain aneurysm, leaving behind not only her children, but also her grandson Ezekiel, her unborn granddaughter, and countless others who loved her deeply.
April was a friend to anyone who needed one. Her daughters describe her as "everyone’s mama", a safe place in this world. She poured herself into her family and the community, serving over 22 years as Deputy First Class Butz, guiding others to turn their lives around. Her most recent years were spent working with women, helping them prepare to be released and create a better life. She provided a non-judgmental space while giving wisdom, guidance, and love. This was proven true as April received several letters from reformed inmates crediting her to their success. April never "clocked out" of serving others. Her selflessness spread through hundreds of families. Friends always knew if they needed something, she would be there. She provided words of encouragement to fight the world's biggest battles and a soft place to go when you just needed someone to listen. Of all the badges April wore, being a Mother/Nana is the badge she wore with the most honor. From giving cuddles and tickling their arms until they fell asleep to fighting their biggest battles alongside of them. April worked every day to make the world a better place for her daughters & grandchildren.
April spent her entire life giving. She gave love, she gave guidance, and she gave comfort to anyone searching for it. Even in death, she's continued to give, donating her organs so that others can live.
Her passing was sudden and devastating. There was no time to prepare and now her children are left navigating heartbreak while also facing financial burden. If you can donate, your support will go directly toward easing that burden for her children, so they can focus on grieving and healing rather than financial stress. If you cannot give financially, sharing this fundraiser is a gift in itself.
