A woman with fire in her heart, strength in her soul, and more on her plate than most people could ever imagine. She’s a mother, a business leader, a nonprofit founder, a friend, a mentor, a powerhouse in commercial finance—and somehow, always the one holding space for everyone else.

What most people don’t know is that our April has been quietly, courageously battling cancer.

Her diagnosis came just weeks after her nonprofit, Healing The World Foundation, was officially granted 501(c)(3) status—a mission she created to help others overcome trauma, illness, hardship and other foundations with the same mission. The timing felt surreal. But in true April fashion, she didn’t collapse into despair.

She saw it as an opportunity.

A sacred, painful, beautiful invitation to walk through the fire—so she could come out the other side with the wisdom and strength to help others do the same. That belief is what’s carried her through. That belief is why she’s still standing.

But right now… she needs our help.

April has been shouldering the full financial burden of her care. Insurance has only covered a fraction of the costs. Out-of-pocket treatments, diagnostics, holistic care, nutritional support, and simply surviving in recovery has taken a serious toll. Heavy monthly expenses—and that’s just for the basics.
