Hi everybody, my name is Jessica Kitchen and I'm here seeking help for my mother-in-law. April has been battling brain tumors for 5 years non-stop. She's undergone two surgeries on the left side of her brain, and we just found out she has a life-threatening brain tumor on the right side of her brain. Over the last five years, she has worked very hard to surpass and overcome every setback that came her way.

After her first and second (they were back-to-back) brain surgeries, she had complications walking due to certain parts of her brain being removed during the surgery. She tried very hard with endless amounts of PT and also some surgeries on her ankle and knee, trying to get life back together and function properly. About a year ago, she started having seizures due to the buildup of medication in the brain. Last week, she ended up going to the local hospital because her arm went limp and she dropped her coffee cup. After undergoing a list of tests, including CT scans, she found out that she had a stroke, which caused many other concerns. Her testing had been sent to her neurologist, where she then received a call that she needed to head back to Minnesota from Iowa (where she lives). That is when she got the news about the new mass growing on the right side of her brain. She will undergo an emergency brain surgery either on Wednesday or Friday.

I've created this fundraiser because my mother-in-law would do anything for anybody. She hasn't been able to work in over two years. We are thankful for each and every day we get with her. I know she has touched many people in the community, and the endless amounts of bills and financial worry are nothing that her brain will be able to withstand. Lord willing, she makes it through her emergency surgery. She will be very thankful for each and every blessing. We are lifting her up in prayer, and we know The Lord is in control. Our God always provides, and I feel in my heart she deserves any and every blessing she can get coming her way!
