Help April Morris Fight Lung Cancer
Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to share the story of April Morris — a devoted wife to Josh, a loving mother of three to Jacob, Emily and McKinley, and a woman known for her strength. At just 44 years old, April has been faced with a life-altering diagnosis: stage IIIA squamous cell carcinoma of the lung, a form of cancer that has already spread to her lymph nodes.
When April first received her diagnosis in Mobile, Alabama, the prognosis was devastating. Surgery wasn’t an option, and she was given a 30–50% chance of survival. But if you know April, you know she’s a fighter. Refusing to give up, she traveled to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, one of the top cancer hospitals in the world, where her care team offered a glimmer of hope and a more aggressive treatment plan.
April will now need to travel to Houston every three weeks to undergo chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Surgery is now back on the table as a possibility, and she may also participate in a clinical trial that could further improve her chances. This is a fight April is ready to take on with everything she has — but she cannot do it alone.
The emotional and physical toll of this journey is immense, and the financial burden is overwhelming. Frequent travel, extended stays in Houston, loss of wages, and medical expenses are piling up. April and her family are doing everything they can, but they need help to make this journey possible.
If you can give — no matter the amount — you will be helping April access life-saving treatment and allowing her to focus on what matters most: healing and spending precious time with her family.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign. Every dollar, every prayer, and every share means the world to April and her loved ones.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
“God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.” — Psalm 46:5
