Hello,

My name is Kammie and I created this GoFundMe for my sister, April Gordon-Harvin. On the morning of Wednesday, November 13, 2024, my sister’s youngest daughter, Kenya Mitchell, was in a horrific car accident in Sumter, South Carolina, while riding to school with a friend/schoolmate who made the decision to drive recklessly with innocent passengers. Kenya was buckled in the backseat and the only one with non-survivable injuries. My amazing sister made the most noble decision a heartbroken mother could by making the gift of organ donation so other families will not have to suffer the pain of losing a loved one in need of an organ transplant.

While trying to navigate life without her baby girl, life delivered another devastating blow on December 22, 2024, when April’s husband, Orgeeba Harvin, suddenly passed away at the young age of 48. April has been a stay-at-home mom/wife for the entire duration of their courtship and 7-year marriage. I am asking for your help in digging deep to help with living expenses and relocation costs as my sister will be moving back home to Michigan in the near future once all affairs are in order to be with family - as she now has no family with her.

All funds donated will be used to alleviate some of the financial burdens April now has and ensure she is able to relocate and move forward with a life that now has irreparable voids.
