Support April and Her Family
Donation protected
My name is Alyssa Juntilla, and I am raising funds to support my sister, April Carter, and our family during a time of unimaginable grief and uncertainty.
Two weeks ago, April was diagnosed with late-stage bladder cancer. Since her admission to the hospital, April has spent a week in the ICU and is still fighting for her life. During this time, we asking for the support of our family, friends, and community in rallying behind April and her family as they navigate this unthinkable tragedy and the most difficult time in their lives.
April's whole world revolves around her family and her love of being a mother, daughter, grandma, aunt, cousin, caregiver, and friend. Those who have had the honor to know April describe her as loving, resilient, peaceful, and determined. April's heart, humor, and fighting spirit have touched countless lives, and she continues to be a source of inspiration and light for everyone in her life.
This is not the first battle April and her family have endured. In 2004, April suffered a spinal cord injury that left her paralyzed from the chest down. Despite this devastating, life-changing injury, April remained steadfast in her faith, positive outlook, and love for life. Even in the face of cancer, April has maintained her strength, sense of humor, and unbreakable spirit that continues to amaze all of her family and friends.
We are now asking for your support in helping to raise funds to relieve April and her family of the financial burdens caused by these unimaginable circumstances. April has always been there for others, and now, we hope to be able to return the same love and support to her. Any contribution, no matter the size, will bring a significant difference to April and her family as they navigate their new reality.
Funds will be used to support April and her family with healthcare costs, caregiving, and relief for her children's immediate and long-term needs. Of importance, funds are needed to support her son, Tyron (26), in being her caregiver, her daughter, Tyra (17), for her upcoming graduation and expenses associated with attending college this fall, and her son, Tyree (14) in continuing to pursue his love of basketball and an eventual journey onto college.
With your support, we can come together to uplift April and her family to remind them they are not alone in this fight. We are so thankful for the generosity and support, and our family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts.
With gratitude,
