Support Apoorva's Eagle Project Garden
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Apoorva Bathula, and I am a high school student, based in Fremont, CA. In addition, I am also apart of Scouting, or the BSA as a Life scout. I am excited to announce that I will be embarking on my Eagle project, a perfect culmination of my 5 years in my scout troop, troop 2220. In my time as a Scout, I discovered my love for conservation projects. I would help out at any nature-related project available. Therefore, I find that it would only be fitting for me to take up a conservation project as my Eagle project, and inspire the younger scouts in my troop. For my project, I will be planting a garden at a local historic park, with all California Native plants!
Areas that are planted with invasive species, or California nonnatives, are "environmental deadzones" and do not provide habitats for any pollinators. This garden will foster a healthy habitat for pollinators and other critters, transforming this area of land into a beautiful, environmentally rich garden.
In order for me to carry out this project,I have set a fundraising goal of $400. This money will go towards purchasing the plants, renting tools, canopies, mulch, and other materials to plant the garden. Donations $20 and up are preferred, but any contribution is appreciated!
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions/concerns. Thank you!
