Hello, my name is Roni Jordan and this is my sweet companion Apollo, my 9-1/2 year old miniature schnauzer who's been my lifesaver since the passing of my husband 2 years ago.

Apollo has had periodontal disease since age 3, which resulted in multiple dental extractions, and a heart murmur diagnosed at age 7. Yesterday, after suffering chronic rhinitis for several months, the impact of his periodontal disease became starkly clear when he had a CT scan of his head, revealing major infection of his tooth roots - the cause of his rhinitis - and will necessitate several dental extractions once he is off the antibiotic for the current infection.

I have already paid $2691 for the CT scan and antibiotic medication and expect dental surgery and follow-up treatment to cost roughly $5000. This is why I'm requesting your support. Apollo's early-life diagnosis of periodontal disease made him uninsurable - preexisting condition - and so all of his care must come at substantial cost.
