Anya was in a high kill shelter on her last day before being euthanized when she was adopted. The person that adopted her decided she couldn't keep her and was going to return her which meant an instance death. My friend and I stepped up to meet her and fell in love with her gentle nature and trust and love of people.
Anya wasn't spayed and I couldn't take her in with 4 dogs already and my friend lost her home in the LA fires so she couldn't take her. We found a kennel that would board her as we worked on spaying her and continue to look for her forever home or foster.
We have already incurred over $1,000 of costs which include: cost of boarding at the kennel, food, rabies shot (shelter didn't do this!) and spay (shelter only provided a $50 rebate once the $400 spay was done).
Anya is such a sweet girl even through her tough journey and donations you can give are greatly appreciated! If we have any money left over it will be donated straight to the best recue warriors and heroes that we know.
If you or someone you know would be interested in adopting/fostering her, please let us know.
We will keep you updated on Anya’s journey.
Thank you!
