“In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which perishes, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 1:6-7.
Our friend, Anya, has been distressed and tested by fire in ways we cannot imagine. Anya was married in her 20s. She and her husband had three children. As an infant, her middle child was diagnosed with Diamond Blackfan Anemia, a rare blood disorder in which the bone marrow doesn't produce RBCs. She currently receives monthly blood transfusions to literally keep her alive.
In 2015, Anya’s husband was diagnosed with cancer and passed away, leaving her a single mother of three. Anya remarried and had a fourth child. This marriage did not last long, and Anya is now fighting for, as she stated in a hearing recently, “the safety and protection” of her youngest child. The video speaks volumes about one aspect of her struggle.
Since Anya left with the children, she has been working on healing and putting her life back together. She is mentally exhausted and is in need of support to get through this time in her life.
Anya is surviving domestic abuse, but she suffers daily from emotional turmoil, PTSD, and fear. Despite all of the trauma associated with this struggle, she constantly tells us, "I'm trusting God," "God will protect us," "Because of God, my life is great except for this situation."
Though we are in awe of Anya’s strength and faith as she navigates the overwhelming and tumultuous situations she currently faces, practical needs must be met. Her legal fees exceed $200,000 with a $30,000 payment due to attorneys by November 10 and another $20,000 due by November 30.
Due to legal constraints, we must limit the public posting of many details and documents. However, we can share with you through private, direct messages. If you would like to donate but need more information, please contact us directly.
Also, you may find additional details from other GoFundMe efforts for Anya.
