Anwatin is a beautifully diverse school community that I had the privilege of working at for a few years. Approximately 50% of Anwatin students are not attending school in person due to the heavy ICE presence in Minneapolis. The community is already graciously providing much needed food support but with rent due or already past due we want to ensure their basic human needs of food AND shelter are met. ❤️

I am working directly with school staff and my former co-workers, Tiffany Doherty & Hailey Forrest. They are in charge of receiving aid requests from families, I am in charge of transferring donation funds, & they are distributing funds via cash/check directly to families or property companies based on need.
