Support Anton's Welding Education Journey

My name is Randy Hoover and I am a retired third grade teacher of 27 years. The young man pictured with me is a former student of mine and this GoFundMe is for him.

“Anton” is going to be a senior in high school this year. After making some bad decisions earlier in life, Anton fell into a cycle of juvenile detention. We kept in contact and I would visit him often. After a few trips back to detention it was decided that he would live with my wife and me. He moved in over a year ago now, and it has been the best decision for him. Anton has passed all of his classes the past two years and will graduate on time. He has stayed out of trouble. He has developed a passion for welding and will be taking three welding classes in the fall at Gateway Technical Institute. His goal is to eventually join the service and continue with welding.

This is why I have started this fundraiser. Anton does not receive any financial assistance from the government or his family. He has been working all summer but money is a huge barrier for him. He needs financial help to pay for his educational costs. This includes a welding kit, fees, appropriate clothing, shoes and classes.

This young man has done what we ask of young juveniles caught up in the system and just needs a few breaks to go his way. Any help you could give him would be greatly appreciated and will help this awesome and caring young man reach a dream goal that had never before seemed possible….. a way out!
